Information we collect
Stonegate may collect customer and trade-account details, contact and delivery information, enquiries, quotes, baskets, orders and payment status needed to provide its services. With Analytics & Visitor Insights consent, we also collect a pseudonymous visitor identifier and meaningful website activity such as pages, products, categories and searches viewed, basket and checkout activity, and RoofBuildr interactions.
Pseudonymous visitor intelligence
Consenting visitors receive a random first-party visitor identifier. We do not use browser fingerprinting, covert identity discovery, IP-to-person matching, or infer email, telephone or business identity from device data. Anonymous visitors remain anonymous.
When activity becomes connected to a customer
If you later identify yourself through a Stonegate login, trade application, checkout, quote, contact form, newsletter form or another explicit submission, eligible consented visitor history may be linked to the existing authoritative account, order or contact record. Stonegate does not create a duplicate customer merely for analytics.
Why we use information
We process information to operate the website, provide products and services, administer accounts, fulfil orders, handle enquiries, prevent misuse, comply with legal obligations and, where consent applies, understand and improve website journeys. Analytics consent, personalisation consent, marketing-cookie consent, email marketing permission and SMS marketing permission are separate choices.
Retention and recipients
Behavioural analytics and consent audit records are retained under configurable Stonegate schedules and reviewed periodically. Operational customer, accounting and order records follow separate business and legal retention requirements. Information may be handled by service providers supporting hosting, payments, delivery, communications and website operations only where needed.
